Mondays really do suck!

So today I didn't go to work, I currently have a nice infection in my gum which made the right side of my face swell up. Just started a week of antibiotics, can't wait to feel better. Noah was home today as well, he has had diarrehia all weekend. Thankfully it seems like it's getting much better today. Hopefully he can go to daycare tomorrow. I might let him stay home one more day though, my Mom is laid off right now so she can watch him for me.

Dispite the illnesses, we had a good day! Noah has slept a lot as a matter of fact he's sleeping right now! My best friend Krista and her daughter Tessa stopped by this afternoon. We had a nice visit.

Plan for the rest of today, clean up, fold clothes and take care of my baby! I can't wait for some suggle time since he slept so much and I had to share him today!!!!

Wonderful yet hot weekend!

This weekend we spent with my sister and Danielle. We had a good time, although some little man I know was kinda crabby because of his teething. Overall we had a great weekend! My sister was so kind to wake up with Noah Friday and Saturday night! Danielle slept in their niece's bed so I could have their bed! How sweet?! So I finally got some good nights of sleep! Back to the norm tonight!


We didn't do much this weekend. Chris and I went to Babies R Us and Wal Mart on Saturday, then we just came home and hung around. She dyed Danielle and I's hair, which once again mine did not turn out as it should have!


But we had a good weekend, and now we are home and have everything put away. One thing I have learned is it takes so much longer to get ready to go anywhere with a baby! And you always have to over pack, which I am just now after 5 months getting used to!

Noah just woke up from a power nap, so I guess I should end this post!

1 month to 5 months, first I went by weeks....starting at 5 months just going by the date!

Some Milestones thus far!

Getting ready for his first public outing, note the sign! It worked! Noah's very first time at camp!! Having a talk with Poppy on the Golf Cart! Easter April 4, 2010 was Noah's very first holiday!!! So handsome! The bags Noah made for Mommy, Grammy and his wonderful Aunts!! Also the T-shirt that was made for his Poppy! Noah's first smile!!! 4/16/10 I was so happy I cried!! Didn't have a camera fast enough to catch the full thing but this is close enough! Noah's first visit with friends!!! 4/29/10 Went to visit Heather and Adelaide!! Heather and I worked together and were pregnant at the same time! She was 4 weeks behind me, and had her 2 weeks after Noah! In this picture Noah looks like a Giant! They both look different now, and of course are much cuter! :) Noah sleeping at his first sleepover at Aunt Chrissy and Aunt Danielle's! Of course Mommy was there to :) He's 5 months now and I can't even leave him for a night yet! Noah's first road trip to South Carolina! 6/18-6/19, that's right we left PA at 11am 6/18 and left to come home from SC 6/19 around 1:30pm! Went for a old friend's 80th birthday party. Crazy? Very especially since he just got his 4 month shots before we left on the 18th! First time having solid food!! Rice Cereal! He loves it :) Noah rolled over for the very first time on July 4, 2010! We were up at our camp and he just rolled from his belly to his back! Of course you can't exactly take a picture of that! He is a stomach sleeper since like 6 or 7 weeks old, he always slept better that way....I know I know your not suppose to do it, but I do and he's fine! Noah's first 2 teeth!! Finally got a better picture had some help this time! His first one came through 7/12 and the 2nd came through 7/13 at only 4 months!! That's way early!!

Newbie, 5 months behind!

Hello, I'm not sure who all if anyone will read this but I feel like I need something to do to tell my story of my beautiful son Noah! If any pictures I put on here have the wrong date....like the one below....it's because it came from my Mom's camera and she NEVER fixes her dates! I will give someone I went to school with Jenny credit for this, I have been reading hers which mine will NEVER be that good! Not to mention I also stole the whole month sign picture thing from her to!! Thank you Jenny!

I guess first things first! Noah was born on Wednesday February 24, 2010 at 12:30am, he was 8 pounds 1 ounce and 20.5 inches long! My labor was induced due to pre-eclampsia, and HELLP syndrome Tuesday February 23, 2010. Turns out Noah wasn't exactly liking the contractions, and oxygen didn't help. So I had to have him via c-section. I was taken to the OR, and my sister was getting all geared up to come in with me (Noah's Dad is not in the picture, by his own choice), once I was in the OR and switched to the bed, Noah's heart rate then dropped lower than my own, so the Dr said she was sorry but they were going to have to put me to sleep and get him out, there was not time to do a epidural and wait 20-30 minutes to start. I was upset but would have rather be safe then sorry! Last thing I remember was the Dr and nurses asking me if I knew what I was having, I said yes a boy, they asked what his name is, I told them Noah Edward. Last thing I heard was 2 nurses talking about who Noah is from the Bible. Next thing I know, I am waking up and the Dr says "You have a beautiful baby boy!" It was a hour later that I met Noah for the first time! I agreed to let them take him to the room since my parents and sister was there. So Noah met his Aunt Chrissy, Grammy and Poppy first! They seen him getting his first bath by the nurse, and video taped it of course! Poppy fed him his first bottle, and everyone got to hold him!

Since I had pre-eclampsia I had to be on Magnesium for 24 hours after he was born, as well as it starting when I was induced. I wasn't allowed out of bed either. Wasn't allowed to eat or drink was only allowed ice chips. I wasn't even allowed to have ice chips while I was being induced! Last time I ate was Tuesday around 11, next time I ate was Thursday around 2am! I didn't have much of a appitite....but it has since come back...BOOOO! I am in and out for the first day, I didn't even get to change his diaper for the 1st time until he was 2 days old! It was pretty bad! My sister had gone to all my Pre-natal appointments with me, as well as stayed with Noah and I while we were in the hospital. She is pretty great!

We were both released from the hospital on Saturday February 27, 2010. Getting ready to head home!!!
It was great to finally be going home, and to get to bring my handsome little guy to his home for the very first time! Grammy, Poppy and a family friend Kailyn came to pick us up! I had a very emotional drive home! I was so happy, and at the same time couldn't believe that he was mine!! It was crazy!

After we were home, we got to introduce Noah to our dogs DJ, and Frankie! Luckily they are crate trained so that's where they were when we first got home!!! They are very good with Noah. Like to sniff him out a lot, and at first DJ would jump up on the bassinet to check on him when he would make noise, it was cute!! Thankfully he's a small dog and not a rottweiler or something!

I got to take 10 weeks off work for maternity leave. I was all alone with him all day. I was very nervous, but at the same time felt really good to get to bond with him. We had wonderful days, a few LONG days but all good! There were like 2 different times that Noah woke up around 2am and stayed up until 6 or 7 in the morning.....that was the worst!! Thankfully that only happened twice that I can remember!

My first day back at work was Monday May 3, 2010, it was the WORST day of my life!!! I cried the entire day and couldn't wait until 4:3o pm to go pick him up!! Thankfully my best friend since kindergarden Krista's Mom Pat was watching him for me! I felt a little better about that, I have known them forever and trusted them. Everyone told me that it was going to get easier being apart from him, I didn't think at the time it would but it has. I still miss him every single day but I know in order to give Noah a good life a support and provide for him I have to work. Miss Pat watched him for 3 weeks, then he got to start daycare! That day was just like leaving him for the 1st time all over again! I was trusting strangers to take care of my baby for 8 hours a day. Crazy. That's Noah taking a nap the evening of his first day at daycare....he's like Thank Goodness it's over! Thankfully my Mom's friend works at the same day care in the older infant room so I half felt safe because of that! So far everything is going great there! He really likes his teacher, and has done 2 art projects already there!! A coaster for Father's Day and a Fireworks picture! So cute!! I still wish that I could stay home with him and get paid for it, maybe live in another country not sure where but it was on Oprah that they get 1 year PAID maternity leave!! That would be wonderful! Not going to happen!

Everybody told me how much my life was going to change. I knew it would I mean I was going to have a baby to take care of! But I never knew how awesome my life was going to become!! I couldn't imagine life without Noah now! There isn't a moment in the day that I don't think of him! I have a mini shrine at work! It's crazy! I love him, and would do anything for him! I never new how much you could love someone you just met until I held him for the first time! It's just amazing! I guess I didn't know what I have been missing!
