Snow Day 2012

Today was the first official snow storm of 2012!  Thankfully it happened on a Saturday so we didn't have to go anywhere!  Mommy does not like driving in the snow!  We spent the morning inside, watching it snow, watching the occasional little bit of Sprout, eating Kix which is Noah's new favorite cereal!

He loves books!  Really right before I took this pic he was wearing sunglasses to!

watching it snow from the back door.....

and now the front door!

Now he is wanting to go outside!

Noah took a little nap before we went out to play so he wouldn't be cranky!  He headed right out back to his swing set!  He enjoyed brushing the snow off of stuff and even see sawing.....before he fell off!

He only got to see saw once with another kid, usually it's just Mommy pushing it down on the other side !

Then Grammy and Poppy came home from the grocery store and bought him his very own shovel!

taking a break and looking at the pond ha ha

He wanted to put his shovel away, with his Poppy's!

Then we took a lunch break and went back out in the late afternoon.  He got another Horsey ride from Poppy!

Having a cottage cheese snack once we came in!

love of my life!

Poppy is a good sport!  He even makes horse noises!

Looks like Poppy is giving someone else a ride to with the orb in front of Noah!

Wearing his great Grandpops hat
To be perfectly honest, it's beginning to creep me out a little with all the orbs around lately in pictures.  I know that a lot of loved ones have passed and Noah's Daddy, and I'm sure that some of the orbs are him since they are mostly around Noah!  But it's a little creepy, creepy in a good way I guess.  I don't really know how to explain it.

This time he wanted to make snow angels!  Last year he did NOT want to make snow angels!  So we made 3 of those,  he pointed out Mommy's tree and Grammy's fig bush and we just basically walked back and forth until we went in!

believe it or not this was a seedling we used to get on Arbour day in elementary school!  The only one that actually lived when planted, and was in the refrigerator for a year prior to being planted!

Never mind the snot.....eww didn't see it to wipe it till the picture was taken!
We had a wonderful day despite Mommy not feeling so well.  Noah enjoyed the snow, and I enjoyed it with him!  Hopefully it snows more and we'll go sledding!  Yay!

Tomorrow Noah and Mommy are going on a adventure with Grammy and Poppy!  Can't wait!

Busted Lip :(

Thursday Noah had a accident at daycare.  He gets there around 7am, and by 8am I was getting a phone call!  He had been jumping, lost his footing and fell face first or should I say chin Thu first onto the floor. OUCH!  His top teeth went into his bottom lip, thankfully not through it though.  It looked pretty nasty Thursday, but is slowly getting better!
He looks like he's in so much pain, but trust me it was only because of trying to take a picture of it!

From the way he was acting it sure wasn't hurting too bad!  He was being his normal boy self!  Friday morning it looked a lot better then Thursday.
Friday morning not nasty looking as yesterday.
It still isn't looking pretty, but hopefully will be all healed soon.  I'm keeping a eye on it so if something changes I can call the dr.  It's not like you can exactly put some neosporin on it and slap a band aid over it!  Sucks, but he's all boy let me tell you!

Mommy's 31st Birthday!

Today is my Birthday, and a great Birthday it was for turning 31!  I actually had to go back to work today after 4 days off, but it wasn't too bad!  Not too busy but just enough work to get through the day.  Then I went to get Noah from Daycare, and they so kindly made a Birthday card with him for me!  It is so cute and I'll keep it forever!

Came home and my sister came over and we had our usual pizza for Birthday dinner, yum!  Totally ruined the salad I ate for lunch, but I guess it was worth it!  Then we had DQ Ice Cream cake!  Double yum!

Helping Mommy blow out the candle!

Thanks Buddy!
Noah got me a picture frame with our picture in it that says Mothers are angels in disguise.  It's pretty, and I got some very nice cards and some money.  It was a good day no matter what!  Now that I'm older it really is just like another day, when I was younger I was so excited for my birthday it was "special" I guess really it is a special day, but now I just look forward to my son.

Next Birthday in line is Noah's.  The big 2....where did the time go??  I have everything all planned out, just need to order stuff.  He's growing up way to fast!

Four Day Weekend

Today was the final day of our four day weekend.  A busy one it was, I guess that's why it went so fast!  Friday farm show, Saturday hanging at home and a little shopping, Sunday a visit to his Auntie's house for the afternoon, and today just Mommy and Noah having a good day!

We started this final day of "vacation" with a breakfast picnic!  I made us eggs and toast for breakfast, and we sat on a sheet in the living room watching Sprout while we ate our breakfast!  I think Noah enjoyed it because it was different!

Then we did some painting!  Noah seems to like to paint, usually it's paint on his hands or feet for something special so I think when he gets let loose with a brush and paint he's happy!

Ikea bibs make great painting smocks!

Purple...seems to be a favorite.  It was Red, then Yellow and now lately everything is Purple to him! lol

The next Picasso??!!

Thankfully it's washable paint!
He really had fun!  I like doing crafty things with him, he really seems to enjoy it!

For Christmas Santa brought him a leather vest looking shirt.  So today, he was Mommy's little Biker dude!

We had a pretty good day except for the fact that he did not take a afternoon nap, and totally should have!  So needless to say he was a little crabby and whiny this evening.  He was so tired when I tried to put him to bed that he was having a hard time falling asleep.  He kept crying "sleep, sleep."  I felt so bad for him but a little butt patting and shhhh-ing and he was out.
Here is to hoping that tomorrow he doesn't have a horrible day at daycare since he's not been there for four days!  That's usually not good, but I don't take him to daycare when I'm off work unless I have to because of appointments or something.  I enjoy spending time with him, I wish I could stay home with him everyday, but that is not a option!

Here are some older pics from last Sunday the 8th that were on my camera.
Noah got a Carrot pillow at Ikea and Grammy was feeding Poppy the horse it!
Noah and Poppy having breakfast at the short island!
Playground 1 of 2
Playground 2 of 2
Noah got new snow boots and had to wear them!
Laying on the floor playing with his Hess truck....he does this a lot!

Tomorrow is my birthday, yes I have to go back to work on my Birthday! Not a big deal, 31 already though that's kinda tough to swallow!  I remember having a hard time turning 24 because I was only a year away from 25!  I didn't really have a hard time last year turning 30 and I just think it was because I had Noah.  I always said before if I didn't have kids by the time I was 30 I wasn't going to have any, and boy I just made the cut off! ha ha.  Anyway, what do they say your only as old as you feel right? I guess it's not that bad then!

Farm Show 2012

Today I took off work to have a extra long four day weekend with my little man! I thought that today we would go to the Farm Show since tomorrow is the last day! We went last year, but he was still too young then and was happy with the animals but I'm not sure that he really knew what was going on. He wasn't even one yet. This year, we got lucky! They had Tractor Square Dancing at 10am! We went early and got there around 8:30 am, went to look at animals then went to the Large Area for 10 so we could watch this! I was actually impressed with it! Noah absolutely LOVES tractors! So when I found out about it yesterday, I knew that no matter what today we were going to the Farm Show!

Watching the cow get brushed and blow dried!
He loves Cows!
This is Noah watching the tractor square dance!
Mozzarella Cheese Cubes, love em!  But they didn't taste as good as I remembered....
Yummmm Potato Donuts!
Having Chicken Nuggets and Milkshake, and about to doze off!
Noah not even a block away!

We had a fun time!  We didn't do the entire thing only because Noah was ready for a nap by the time 11 came along!  But he liked what we did see!  Chickens, Cows, Horses, Sheep.  We couldn't find the pigs, I have heard 2 other people I know that went and also couldn't find them.  Either they left early or were in hiding!  It was so much fun, and I'm glad that I got to spend the day with my little farmer dude!  I'm also really glad that I got to watch the tractor square dance with him!  I knew he would enjoy that but he wasn't willing to watch more then a dance and a half!  Yes they do different dances ha ha!  So cool.  Anyway, Noah is napping right now, he slept the whole way home but then was up once we got here and just went down for a nap around 2.  He's still out!

I'm not sure what the rest of the weekend has in store for us! I'm thinking that we will go to the library tomorrow or Monday.  We'll see.  I have a little man that loves books and loves being read to!  I couldn't be more happy about that!

I hope so far 2012 is treating everyone well!

Philly Philly!

Last Saturday, January 7, 2012 Noah, Grammy and Aunt Danielle and Aunt Chrissy made a drive to Philly!  Just for two reasons, 1. Cheese steak from Pat's and Geno's, and 2. Ikea!  First we went to Geno's, and it looked good however was not good!  Totally not worth the drive there to even try one!  I think the ones from around home are much better, but that's my personal opinion.  Although that seemed to be the consensus from everyone!

There was a playground across the street, and so we all decided that it would be awesome to let Noah just get some bottled up energy out!
Please believe that Mommy wanted to give Noah a bath in Purell when we left this playground!

We left the playground, walked the Italian Market, and then went back to the car and headed to Ikea.

The plan was that we would have Geno's for lunch then do the Italian Market and stuff then have Pat's for dinner. But since Geno's caused so much disappoint we didn't even bother! We ended up having Chickfila for dinner! Noah got to play at the play land in there before we headed home!

It was a decent day trip! Nice to get away, however I cannot believe that people live there! I was like on guard the whole time we were there, and dirty....yuck. I guess every place is different! I don't wish to go back anytime soon! I thought Harrisburg was a big city...yeah no it's not!
