Elizabethtown Fair

Last Friday night my sister, Danielle and Parker came over and we went to the Etown Fair!  We had fun, it was Noah's first time at the fair and obliviously Parker's first time as well!
There didn't see to be many little kid rides, so I didn't bother wasting money on tickets for rides, but Noah did play some games and won a lovely blow up hammer which he could care less about! 
We got to go to the Petting Zoo, dance to music, have some dinner, sit on tractors, look at a lot of old tractors and people watch.  All in all it was a great evening! 

First things first, little man had to eat!  Noah did a great job!

Noah was in heaven looking at all these tractors and sitting on them all!  I'll tell you, this boy is OBSESSED with tractors!  I don't know where it started, or why.  Honestly I really don't but he is like total country boy and would probably be really happy if we lived on a farm! 

When we left the Fair, we went to Aunt Chrissy and Aunt Danielle's house to have a sleepover with them and Parker!
Noah enjoys jumping on the air mattress, and that was well....interesting!  I didn't know it could be so much fun but from all his laughing it must be!

We had a great sleepover, Noah was good, Parker was good the boys had fun the adults had fun.  Can't wait to do it again!

Potty Training update #3

It's official!  My big boy started a new class today at daycare, Beginner Preschool, and also pooped on the potty not once but TWICE tonight!!!

I couldn't be more happy!  I am hoping that he keeps it up!  I believe he will though, he was so happy, and I think he realized that it isn't so bad!  Plus it probably helped that he got some money, $4 that Uncle Frank had given him for when he pooped on the potty, Grammy gave him $4 and Poppy gave him $5, Mommy gave him $1 that's all that I had on my dresser in my room!  But hey he's getting a dang $40 talking Woody Friday as long as he keeps it up, and Grammy is getting him his Spiderman cover, and his Auntie's are getting him a big Firetruck that he said he wanted!  So the boy is set!


My Dad said "man I don't get anything for pooping on the potty, and I do it everyday!" lol Ain't that the truth!

Considering I have been waiting for this day since the day Potty Training began, I am relieved.  I think this is cause for celebration!  Noah started Potty Training  the weekend of July 14 so it's been PLENTY of time, and trust me PLENTY of poopy underwear cleaned.

2 1/2 on Friday, started Beginner Preschool today, Pooped on the potty today.  Life is Grand!

Fun fort!

Sunday we took Noah and Kailyn to the Fun Fort!  It was awesome!  That place is so much better kept then Middletown's Kids Kastle and I think it's even nicer than Hershey's!

After we left here we went to Rita's for some Ice and Noah had Custard!  Rather interesting!

We had fun Sunday night!  We stayed out until Noah's bedtime!  After this we took Kailyn home and headed home, it was 8 by the time we got home and that's when Noah's been asking to go to bed lately!  But he didn't last night, he stayed up until about 9 I guess! 

Camp weekend

This past weekend we spent at camp.  Noah and I were going to spend the weekend at home alone, but then at the last minute before Grammy and Poppy left Grammy said the dreaded "C" word....well anyone that knows Noah knows that was the end of staying home!  So I packed our bags quick and we went along!
We had a really good time though, so I'm glad we went!  Noah loves it at camp!  Probably because we spend like every waking minute outside even nap time is usually outside in his stroller!  The boy loves it outside and in the water!  This weekend was also Parker's first weekend at camp to!  So I was glad I didn't miss that!

I went on two boat rides this time.  I really enjoy it, it's a sense of freedom or something.  My Dad lets Noah stand between his legs and help steer and control the gas....well that's dangerous!  If my Dad moves his hand Noah slams the gas and the boat goes flying!  It's ok though, nothing dangerous he loves it! 
We had a blast, Noah and I went on two walks, one of which he was walking and holding my hand, and the other (close to nap time) that I put him in the stroller and he fell asleep!  That time we walked with my sister and Parker.  We had a lot of fun and Saturday night roasted hot dogs on the fire for dinner, it was yummy! 

Sunday was Noah's Daddy's 2 yr anniversary of his passing.  That's really all I was thinking about all day long.  But once we got home we did some fun things with him and Kailyn so it took my mind off things for a while.  Tomorrow I plan on going to visit after work if it isn't raining.

All in all I had a great weekend!  I can't believe it's the middle of August....where is the time going??

20 Things a Mother should tell her Son

**First let me just say that I got this off of Pinterest, and I love it!  I think that 90% if not all of it is absolutely true and everyone with a son should do the same!  enjoy!**

1. You will set the tone for the sexual relationship, so don't take something away from him that you can't give back.

2. Play a sport. It will teach you how to win honorably, lose gracefully, respect authority, work with others, manage your time and stay out of trouble. And maybe even throw or catch.

3. Use careful aim when you pee. Somebody's got to clean that up, you know.


4. Save money when you're young because you're going to need it some day.


5. Allow me to introduce you to the dishwasher, oven, washing machine, iron, vacuum, mop and broom. Now please go use them.


6. Pray and be a spiritual leader.  (noah already pray every single night, we have started that ritual young!)


7. Don't ever be a bully and don't ever start a fight, but if some idiot clocks you, please defend yourself.


8. Your knowledge and education is something that nobody can take away from you.


9. Treat women kindly. Forever is a long time to live alone and it's even longer to live with somebody who hates your guts.


10. Take pride in your appearance.


11. Be strong and tender at the same time.


12. A woman can do everything that you can do. This includes her having a successful career and you changing diapers at 3 A.M. Mutual respect is the key to a good relationship.


13. "Yes ma'am" and "yes sir" still go a long way.


14. The reason that they're called "private parts" is because they're "private". Please do not scratch them in public.


15. Peer pressure is a scary thing. Be a good leader and others will follow.


16. Bringing her flowers for no reason is always a good idea.

18. Potty humor isn't the only thing that's humorous.


19. Please choose your spouse wisely. My daughter-in-law will be the gatekeeper for me spending time with you and my grandchildren.
