cookie or floor decorating?

Sunday 12/18/11, Noah and I made some cut out cookies.  That was interesting!  I rolled the dough and put them on the tray then Noah decorated them!  Sometimes a little too much decorating but hey he's almost 22 months!

Don't tell Noah but I had to dump some sprinkles off the sheet!
Noah made his own special cookie, Grammy says we should let it dry out and slack it! lol  I laugh now but I probably will!

We only made a single batch so with the big cookie cutters it only made 2 1/2 pans.  But trust me that was enough!  Noah of so nicely decided when we were done rolling out and decorating cookies, that he was going to clean off the counter.  Yes, by taking his hands and pushing everything EVERYWHERE!

It was really everywhere, even got some on the dining room carpet!  That boy is powerful!  I couldn't be mad, because we had fun!  I enjoy doing things with Noah.  He loves to help now, and he loves to make things.  I think that decorating Christmas cookies may have been a little advanced for his age, but it was fun and that's all that matters!

We continue to do all his Advent countdown to Christmas things.  I enjoy those special couple minutes each day!  I am so excited for Christmas!  I cannot wait until he wakes up Christmas morning and sees all these presents that Santa is going to leave him!  I can't wait!  I feel like a kid again myself but just for him!

He's spending the night with his Auntie's tonight.  They are on vacation this week and wanted to have him a night.  Normally I would not let them take him especially during the week, but vacations only come far and few in between and it's Christmas!  So I let him go.  He'll be back tomorrow night.  I can't wait to see him again!  I got a lot of cleaning done, which is good!  I always keep myself busy when he's not home.  I know he loves his Auntie's and they love him!

I love and miss you so much little man, can't wait till tomorrow to hug you, hope your being good!

Christmas Candylane

Tonight we went to Christmas Candylane!  Noah and I had a absolute blast, as I'm sure everyone else did to!  First we met my sister and Danielle at Subway for dinner then headed over.  We didn't leave till almost 10 pm, then went to get my Aunt and then home.  Noah didn't go back to sleep until 11!  I'm so hoping he sleeps in!

We got there and first ride was the Carousel! He of course really liked that, but I must say it went kinda fast!  But it was fun!

Then Noah rode the train, he really liked that!  He rode one like that before at the Middletown Carnival but this one was better!

Then he got to ride some cars!  He likes anything that he can "drive".  My Dad has already made him a motor head!
that's him way over in the red car!
Then he got to ride in a helicopter, or as Noah calls it a "Chopper!"

Then after a few photo ops, he got to ride on the Convoy, he liked that! I think he liked the fact it lit up like a dashboard and made tractor trailer sounds!  It was pretty cool!
We went on the kissing tower, which I thought he'd be afraid of.  But he wasn't!  He stood in front of me at the kiss window holding on to the bar the whole time!  He enjoyed it!  I just think he liked looking over Hershey and seeing all the lights!

Then he drove on the turnpike in a antique car!

Santa was there of course, so we thought what the heck lets try it here!  Well lets just say it was a meltdown!  We didn't buy a picture but my sister snuck one!
He was all crying and saying Mama Mama, notice Santa holding his arm down!

We headed back out, and then stopped at Chocolate World.  This was the first time we were there that we actually didn't ride the ride!  But we had a small snack and drink and then headed out.  We didn't leave until almost 10!  So that was a long time to be there!

Noah had a blast, and so did I!  He loved every ride he went on especially the car type ones!  I'm so glad that he had a good time!   I'm really thankful that kind parent at the daycare gave us free tickets to go to!  Thank you!

Noah was knocked out in the car, but of course woke up once we got home.  He did go right back to sleep!  He is like over tired now!  Tomorrow Mom and my Aunt are baking cookies, so I really don't know what Noah and I will do yet.  Guess we will either help with baking or go somewhere!
so sweet :)
This is not from tonight, but it's funny and I had to add it!  Last Friday my Mom had her Christmas party for work and I got her this headband to wear.  Once she was home and I believe it was the next day Noah decided to try it on!
too cute!

almost Christmas??

I cannot believe tomorrow marks only 10 days till Christmas Eve!!  I'm so excited!!  Santa told Mommy all the presents to get him, and I think I even got more!  But I'm sure Santa doesn't mind ;)  Noah is already spoiled, but after Christmas he'll be spoiled rotten!  I love every second of it!

When he had his 18 month check up, his Dr told me "there was no such thing as terrible twos."  I thought yeah right, just about every kid I know went through being really "bad" around that age.  But now, and only now do I see that it really does not exist!  I admit that maybe , I was wrong.  I know that Noah has a very strong will, and gets frustrated very easily!  Which I guess some could say makes him bad, and I know I even say it.  But in reality he's not.  He's a almost 22 month old, who is learning new things everyday and wants to be independent.  He now gives me issues getting his diaper on, and well I keep telling him if he would go to the potty he wouldn't have to wear one, but that isn't helping.  I have to admit that tonight two different times when he wasn't listening, I told him that Santa was watching him and if he wasn't good and listened he wouldn't bring him any presents!  That actually seemed to work for about...10 minutes!

The truth is, that everyone and yes Mother I mean EVERYONE always gave and gives into him!  He whines and wants something and everyone ends up giving in and letting him have whatever so he doesn't whine and cry.  I'm just as guilty I know, although I am really slowly working on redirecting so that he can ease up on the whining!  I don't know what he's going to do when his little cousin arrives!  He won't know how to handle not being #1!

Poppy took Noah to Messick's to look at Tractors!

Running his Thomas on the train track
Yep he's eating LIVER!

We haven't done too many exciting things besides gluing his snowballs on his countdown to Christmas snowman, and doing his Advent calendar.  He did make a special Christmas present for his Aunties and for his Grammy and Poppy, they are almost done!  Mommy just has to finish them up!  They are adorable!  Noah really likes to make things, he loves to glue stuff and color!  He's awesome!  Next week we are going to put together the Gingerbread train I got!  he'll love it, as long as he doesn't try to eat it!  He's just awesome! I'm not sure if it's because of Daycare that he likes doing things like that or what, because I know they do crafts all the time, and I love getting them!  They are always adorable!

I love doing the Advent stuff with him!  He loves to do it to!  Just that one little piece of chocolate he loves!  I love doing crafts and stuff with him to, he just likes to do it!  I think what it is, is he likes to get messy!

We are planning to go to Christmas Candylane Friday.  A parent at the Daycare gave us 3 free tickets, so we are going to go this week.  I think he'll love it!  Especially because he is probably tall enough to ride something.  But either way, he can always go in Chocolate World and ride that ride!   This weekend we have to do his Christmas T shirt as well.  I keep forgetting about it, and it's almost Christmas!  He'll have to wear it next week!  His Turkey shirt turned out good and this one is just his feet so that should be good to!

The Alphabet

We finally finished coloring the Alphabet!  That was the longest thing ever!  Still working on him knowing it, and being able to recite it.  He gets ABCDEG lol then he skips to MP ha ha.  Will take a little more time, but hey he's not even two yet!

I think he got a little more into the coloring part!  I think the markers helped!  He always asks to color now!  So I got pictures of his favorites, The Wiggles, Chica from Sprout, Caillou and Thomas and Percy, he already colored one of each but I made sure to make quite a few copies!

I love him!

More Decorating

Sunday we decorated Noah's room!  He had fun putting ornaments on his little tree, or trying to!  He also helped me set up his Little People Nativity in his room! He's getting a lot better with the tree in the living room, and the train.  Saturday and Sunday were practically unbearable because he just wouldn't listen!

Mommy's Nativity, only missing the animals! I hope to get them cheap after Christmas!

Noah was so cute Monday in his Santa Shirt and Rudolph socks!

We had a busy weekend as I mentioned in a previous post with Birthday Parties!  Believe it or not, we didn't take one picture at either of them!  So I have nothing to share!  Last evening was cousin Antonio's 2nd Birthday Party.  We had fun, Noah always likes going over there anyway!  He enjoying seeing everything he got as a gift!  His Birthday theme was Cars, he loves Cars, the movie.  It was so cute!  We had a lot of fun!  Today December 5 is his actual Birthday.  So HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANTONIO RAY BARBUSH!!

We had a wonderful night here at home!  Noah is winding down now sitting with Poppy and watching Caillou!  So it's almost time for bed!!

Christmas Decorations!

Friday evening we got all of our Christmas decorations out and decided to put the tree up after he went to sleep!  Last year we put it up while he was taking a nap, he woke up and was so happy!  This year, he woke up and was so excited!  I should have video tapped it, because he was making all kinds of noises and gasping!  He's so adorable!  He was so excited about the train under the tree, he seen is and started pointing and saying in the most excited voice "Thomas, Thomas!"  No honey that's not Thomas, it's just a plain old Choo Choo train!  He's awesome!
Our nice anorexic tree!  Thank God this the the last year for it!

If this isn't perfect I don't know what is!

Poppy even decorated outside this year!

So after Noah was so excited, and happy about the tree and actually seemed to be listening.  This evening was another story!  He's just pushing his limits, and it's something new to him.  I'm sure that he doesn't remember that he seen it last year at 10 months old!  All I can say, is it will be a long 3 weeks or so!!

This afternoon we went to Sienna's first birthday party!  Sienna's Mommy works at Noah's daycare, in the infant room.  Sienna was a guest at Noah's first birthday party so I was glad we got invited to hers!  I hope you had a wonderful day Sienna and Mommy Amanda!!  Noah's other friend at daycare had a birthday today as well Kaelyn, I hope you also had a wonderful day!!

Tomorrow our plans are to decorate Noah's tree in his room, and put some other decorations up.  Then we have his cousin Antonio's 2nd Birthday party!  I cannot believe he's going to be 2 on Monday!  WOW, time flies!  I can't believe Noah will be 2 in February!  It kinda makes me sad!

I miss him being the cute little baby that was just awesome to hold, the baby that you could cuddle him and spoil him but also put him down to get stuff done!  At the same time, I really like this stage!  He's talking so good, and putting sentences together, he's amazing!

He really bring the whole magic of Christmas back to life for me!  I know that Christmas isn't about giving or getting gifts.  I'm sure that everyone enjoys that part of Christmas, but honestly having a Child adds that magic, and excitement to Christmas that I remember from when I was a kid!  I'm so happy, and enjoy this time of the year with him!  This is only his second Christmas, but I must say that this boy is a little more then spoiled anyway!

letters and crafts and random things

We had a great week!  Noah is getting big and oh so bad, or I mean limit testing!  Sometimes I wonder if Santa would have him on the Nice or Naughty list....I guess all little kids are nice no matter what!  He's so smart, and I think that's the problem!  He just likes to test his limits, but he's starting to learn how much Mommy will take.  I'll admit, that it's really hard for me not to just give into him all the time.  But I know I can't, and need to stop.  Grammy is pretty good with not being a push over, although I'm sure when nobody is around she is just that!  Poppy on the other hand, he will do whatever this little boy wants at ANY time!  Which is sweet, nice, and awesome for Noah.  Not so awesome for Mommy when your trying to get him to listen! BUT I do know he's their first Grandchild, and so it's to be expected.  I'm not mad, and can't be because I find it very hard to do myself!

He just came walking out of the Den the other day with my Grandfather's hat on!  It was just a random act of cuteness he preformed!  I love it!

Then he thought he had to try on his Cowboy hat his Aunties got him at the Farm Show, his dome is getting too big!

This week we made hand print Rudolph's, they turned out pretty cute!  Noah isn't like getting his hand traced so we only did one and used that as a pattern.  He liked gluing the pom poms on the "nose" though!

Then he just HAD to keep gluing so I cut out a sad tree and he did some decorating!

We got him a Snowman count down to Christmas thing to do.  We put it together yesterday, and started it tonight!  He enjoyed it!

Grammy picked him up a chocolate Advent Calendar, he enjoyed that to!  Although he was wondering why we couldn't open all the doors today!

This Thursday, his Aunties usually are over for dinner and play date, but today they didn't come.  So instead we got to work on our countdown to Christmas things and do two more letters!  I'm happy to say that this weekend we will be finishing up the alphabet with Y and Z and then I will be attempting to make a book out of all of this stuff!  Of course it's for him, but I'm going to get clear contact paper to cover the pages in hopes that he don't destroy it!
W is for Watermelon

X is for Xylophone

I won't say the oblivious, that my life changed when Noah arrived.  I will say however that I couldn't be happier being a Mother, let alone being a Mother to his awesome smart handsome little man!  I love him more then life itself!  My days are always a little brighter even when he's on my last nerve, and just hanging there waiting to throw me over the edge!  He really is my everything!  I wouldn't change a thing!
