Gymnastics and Croup oh my

Last Saturday Noah started his gymnastics class!  He had a lot of fun, which I knew he would!  He LOVES Jumpin' Jitney that comes to the daycare which is just a small gymnastics bus.  I was toying with putting him in a class when he turned 3, then his cousin Antonio goes to a Parent and me class for 18 months to 3 years then they start class on their own at 3 1/2.  So I thought what the heck he can go with him there!  It's only a 1/2 hr class, but he sure got his work out!  He loved it and it's not that expensive so I think I will keep it up as long as he wants to do it!  Until he can get into a sport this is good, keeping him busy and active is my goal!  He's already active, and a busy body so he needed something to do with all that energy!

Noah had a blast and can't wait to go back!  You couldn't really see the picture of him on the balance beams because they are way in the back, but he loved it and did great!  Turns out that the lady who owns it grew up across the street from my Dad!  So that was kind of neat, it's such a small world!  Everywhere you go you end up being connected somehow!

On the 17th I also celebrated my 32nd Birthday!  I already have the best present I could ever want, but I guess Birthdays keep coming anyway!  Despite having a headache for 4 days at the time, with no relief even after pills, and a Toradol shot I had a GREAT day!
Sunday evening Noah started his Barking seal cough, on and off.  Thankfully I was off Monday for MLK Jr day, he was a little worse but I remembered when he was a baby and had Croup they said to take him out in the fresh air and steam bathroom.  I had him out 3 different times Monday, turns out Monday night he was even worse.  Ended up taking off work Tuesday and keeping him home and taking him to the Dr, he has Croup and a upper respiratory infection.  Poor kid,  He just got over a ear infection.  Guess it's that time of year!  He seems to be a little tiny bit better, but taking it slow is the best bet!  The Dr said he should be better by the weekend.  I'm hoping!

Farm Show 2013

Today we all took the day off to go to the Farm Show!  Last year I took Noah on the last Friday also, and took him to watch the tractor square dancing which we didn't do this year!  I think last year it put him to sleep because after we watched that he was sleepy so we ate some lunch and left!
This year also Uncle Joe came along with us which was fun!  Noah stayed awake and alert the whole time we were there and enjoyed looking and touching all of the animals!
The only things we got to eat this year was the two best things from the farm show and that's the cheese cubes and the potato donuts!  We were there early so the lines were not bad at all, crowds didn't really start until we were leaving which was great, especially because Poppy was with also and he doesn't do well with crowds!  Wrong place to go right?!  Here are a few of the pictures from today, first thing we saw was Noah's favorite!  Huge John Deere!

and finally Noah and his Great Uncle Joe!
We left the farm show and headed to get lunch at Tony's Pizza or Aunt Krista's pizza shop! I have always referred to my best friend Krista as Aunt Krista to Noah so since her and Antonio opened the shop when we go there we ask him if he wants to go to Aunt Krista's!  Lunch was great, then we headed home, Uncle Joe went on his way, Grammy and Poppy went and Picked up Parker from Daycare, and Noah went and took a nap!  Boy was he tired cause he as knocked out in less than 20 minutes!

Mr. Parker got to spend the afternoon with us today!  Noah is still having a little jealousy issues, especially at our house.
Then Noah and I did some playing with Play Doh....that was fun. He has enough until he's about 10 though, thanks Aunties!

That was our Friday, a good one.  Hoping for a great weekend!

First REAL snow fall!

Well I'm a little behind in my updates, and my memory is really bad anymore so I can't really remember when our snow came!  But I do know we had a bit of white on the ground for Christmas but then we got a few more inches the next weekend I believe.  I weekend before New Years???  I don't know, but Kailyn was here and I know that we were out while it was still snowing!  So I know I'm right!  ha ha

Santa Claus brought Noah a little saucer sled for Christmas, perfect timing Santa!  Kailyn helped make a trail down the little hill in the yard and he enjoyed his first few trips sledding!  He enjoyed more just throwing himself down in the snow I think, but hey, what can I say?!
taking a break!
love him!

So I literally had to bribe him into the house!  We were both sick, it was freezing, and he didn't want to go in!  Thankfully it wasn't too much of a fight, and Kailyn was a big help getting him back inside, he likes to follow her around when she's at the house!

Sunday he was watching videos on the laptop as I was waiting for the breakfast casserole to get done we were trying....he looked like such a little man!

One thing is for sure, my boy is growing up!  He's been saying and doing some of the funniest things!  I don't know where it came from but he keeps saying "I sure do, It sure does, Sure enough"  It's so cute!  I'll ask did you have a good day at school today?  he'll respond "sure did Mama"  Or at dinner we'll ask if something is good and he'll say "it sure is!"
Last evening he was throwing himself down on the floor and then standing up and brushing himself off and saying "what did someone push me down on something?"  He's been saying that funny stuff a lot!  He's becoming a lot more independent on a daily basis!  He's slowly learning to get fully undressed however getting dressed is a lot harder....things end up backwards and he gets frustrated and gives up.  So that will take a little more time!  I'm super proud of him though!  He's been fully potty trained since 2 1/2 besides at bedtime which that could take years.  Every kid is different, sometimes he wakes up dry other times soaked so he still gets a overnight pull up for bed, and nap he gets a pull up to but is 9 times out of 10 dry when he gets up!
He's getting better and better with his counting, we are working on letter recognition in the bathtub since he got the foam letters.  He's a bright kid.

I'm a proud Mommy!

I'll leave you with this.....when we went to CVS to get his script the other Friday after his Dr appt, we were walking around the store waiting for it to get done....he wanted to get a car (last thing he needs) so we went looking and he blurted out "Mama you can get some ultra strong" I glanced over to see Charmin Ultra Strong sitting right there and Noah pointing......amazed and half flabbergasted I said how did you know what that was?  He laughed, but seriously it was like he read the freaking package!  THEN we were at Giant this was the next week, walking down the toilet paper aisle and what does he say? "Mama you can get some Charmin Ultra Strong!"  YES he actually said the whole thing....amazed....lol I'm guessing he memorized it from the commercial? I have no other explanation unless he's a genius!
