Daycare Halloween Parade

Today was the day, Noah's daycare parade/party that is!  I got there early and instead of just going and finding a spot outside to watch him walk by, I was spotted when I went to sneak a peek in his room!  Of course that didn't go over well!  He starts kinda freaking out when he sees me and can't be attached at my hip!  Basically once he knows I'm there he just wants to be sure I don't leave without him!  But he cried, cried some more, and maybe a little bit more!  But he made it through!  During the parade I wanted him to go with his friends and hold on to their rope, but he wasn't having that so I had to join the parade!  No big deal I don't mind at all, but it wasn't the original plan!  Everyone looked so cute! I couldn't get a group picture because Noah wouldn't leave my side to go sit with all his friends to get one!  Like I said I shouldn't have let him see me, BUT in my defense he was sitting at a table facing the door and when I looked in the room he was already looking at me!  Lets see, there was a boxer, teddy bear, minnie mouse, bumble bee, pirate girl, woody, cow, robot, and of course lion!

One taste of his mood once Mommy was spotted!

It was cute!  It's kinda a lot though getting all the kids in their costumes just to walk around the building, but it's cute!  Crazy Miss Malory wearing shorts and flip flops on this brisk day!  After the parade was over, we went back to the room and enjoyed cookies, brownies and juice.  Well the kids did!  After slaving over the oven baking I didn't even have one!  It's ok, it's really the last thing I need!

I had a really great day!  I'm so glad it's Friday, not so glad that snow is in the forecast for tomorrow though!  Dang it's only October!  Oh well we'll see!  But just in case I made sure Noah's snow pants from last year still fit, and they do!  Cause we might just need them if it really snows a decent amount!

Trick or Treat

It rained all day basically today.  There were some townships rescheduling Trick or Treat for Monday.  I was hoping it would stop raining as the weather man said it would, and it would be a dry Trick or Treat for Noah's first trick or treat that he's actually going around!  God was on our side, and it stopped raining by 5:45 pm, trick or treat starts at 6!  I was SO happy!

A teacher at the daycare Miss Jamie invited us to her house for a little party/dinner/trick or treating.  It was so nice of her to do something like that!  Noah's friends from school Adie and Emily were there also.  Their Mommies work at the daycare to.  At first, well for the first house everyone was kinda all together.  Then of course the big kids had three houses down before the little ones got one!  Oh well.  It was fun, it will be better when Noah gets all of the listening skills down and I don't have to be frantic!  But he did really well!  It was a lot of walking and he did a majority of it!  I just found out about another trunk or treat this weekend so I'm thinking about doing that to, then Monday is the Hummelstown Parade then Halloween is OVER!

here we go!

His first house ever!

Home Sweet Home!

We had a really fun time tonight!  It was freezing though, which that kinda put a damper on things.  But the plus side is that Noah's costume was really thick and he was warm all but his face!  So that's great!

Until next year!

Trunk or Treat

Tonight was Trunk or Treat at Geyers Church.  Dry run for trick or treat tomorrow, which might get rained out!  He did pretty good, but he wanted to walk without holding a hand and well that wasn't happening!  I remember that I used to think it was awful when I seen people with their toddlers on "leashes" as I like to call them.  Of course that was BEFORE I became a Mother!  Now I'm like wow sign me up for one of those!  He's getting to heavy to carry around and too big to always be sitting in a stroller.  So I am seriously thinking about  investing in one!  Not for everyday use, but when you go to busy places like that where they would be ok to walk but it would be so easy to get lost that the thought makes me panic.  I really think he would kinda like it to!  I mean he'd probably think it was fun.  I don't know.  He did good, came home hot sweaty tired and with a 1/2 bucket of candy that I wouldn't dare let him eat some of that we gave it to my sisters nieces bucket!  There is always a older kid to eat all the really bad stuff, like the pixie sticks!  Seriously?  Isn't that a parents worst enemy?  My son has more energy then he knows what to do with, I don't think he needs more sugar!
But it was a very nice time!  They had dinner, games for kids and everyone won a prize.  Then Trunk or Treat!  It really was very nice of them to hold something like that that's open to everyone not just their parishioners.  We had fun!

Noah's failed attempt to each a chip with cheese!

playing games!

he ran up and hugged this cat first!  then gently placed the rings over it!

my handsome 1/2 dressed lion :)

Notice there are no pictures of the actual Trunk or Treating??  Cause my batteries died right at that time!  Imagine that, I thought I didn't need to bring more because I just put those ones in....boy was I wrong!  Won't make that mistake tomorrow!

We left there and took Kailyn and Nathan their bucket of Halloween goodies then came home and I started baking! I have to make cookies for Noah to take in to daycare Friday so since tomorrow is about shot in the butt I had to start tonight.  I got this colored cookie dough from a lady at work.  Her daughter was selling it for a fundraising trip for her dance class.  So I thought that would be cute, Noah and I can bake!  So I decided that I would just make that for daycare, they are cute!  It's just sugar cookies so it's nothing flavored.  It turned out not to be so bad, I thought I'd be baking forever but got done around 8:15.

Anyway I think we had a really good night!  I can't wait until tomorrow!  I hope it doesn't rain or at least that it just sprinkles a little.  Who knows.  It will be so much fun I think!  Noah is having a very busy week so far!

I'm loving this Mommy stuff!

Tonight Noah helped me put together the buckets we got to make for his friends in his class at daycare!  It was fun, although after we added the first thing to the bucket, actually before we were even done with that Noah was off in my room looking for something to do!  He ended up finding one of his Christmas presents that Santa asked me to hold on to for him ;) and played with that in the box for a minute!  But we did get them all done!  We have a cup, some candy, Goldfish, straw, a little book, and some play doh!  It is pretty cute if you ask me!  Almost every holiday I always get a little something for the kids in his class, I just think it's fun and a nice thing to do.

The straws are a little tall for the cups, because I originally had taller cups but then found cuter ones later that were more almost 2 year old appropriate!  The hardest part was the writing on the buckets.  I have horrible handwriting, but tried my best!  I can't wait to take them into the class Friday morning!

Since only two letters a week is really not moving along quickly, I decided today was a good day to do two more!  So we did G and H.  He did good actually better then Sunday!  He did great coloring!  I just love that little guy!
G is for Grasshopper!

H is for House

Before we did this we played outside for a little bit.  When we got the mail there was a Toys R Us book in there and he was like amazed!  I used that to get him back inside!  I'm telling you once that boy is out that door it's really really hard to get him to come back in willingly!  Most times he starts crying and you end up having to go pick him up, then he is throwing himself backwards and everything!  I never seen a kid that loves to be outside so much!  Aunt Krista and Tessa stopped by for a minute.  She's going to do me a favor tomorrow so she had to stop by and pick up my note.  It was nice to see my best friend who only lives 30 seconds away that I like never see!

This is what he does, goes around Mom and I's cars!

see?

he ventured over to the other end of the driveway!

wheelie!  that's what he was saying....he's obsessed!

All in all it was a great day!  Work was busy, which meant time went really fast, and Noah for the most part was really good tonight and I got stuff done!  I'm hoping it doesn't rain tomorrow because it's suppose to be Trunk or Treat and last week they cancelled till this week cause of rain.  I can't wait to take Noah Trick or Treating for the first time!  That's kinda why I am hoping Trunk or Treat isn't a wash out, to get a dry run!  I'm sure he'll be fine even if he only is interested for two houses!  Saturday we were invited to a Halloween Party at his 1/2 sisters house.  So as long as that's still on we are going to that for a little bit.  Should be a fun weekend all around!  Trust me I was ready for the weekend yesterday and it was only Monday!

Another awesome Fall Sunday!

Today was another beautiful Fall day!  Noah and I had plans to go for a long walk as well as hit up the playground again today, but then his Auntie's surprised us and called to ask if we would come over to do pumpkins today instead of Tuesday!   Grammy made us Cinnamon Buns for breakfast, then we worked on our two letters.  E for Elephant, and F for Frog.

His new love Monster Trucks!

Noah took a early nap this morning.  He slept 10:00-11:45.  Before he fell asleep we worked on letters E and F.  Once he woke up we did a pumpkin, the infamous Cow Jumping over the moon.  Yeah it is not at all great, but I did practically all of it free hand because I didn't have a tool to trace it!
That does not at all look like a moon....but whatever!
When we were working on that is when my sister called and invited us over to do the pumpkins!  So I said to Noah hey why don't you get your shoes on while Mommy cleans up.  So he did......

He actually got his sneaker on the right foot, but I guess the fake croc is the first thing he seen next!

He's so smart!  He's learning so much so fast!  He got out his word book last night and was pointing to things and telling me what they were instead of me asking him where this or that was!  He's amazing!

We got to Aunt Chrissy and Aunt Danielle's made some pizza from the fundraiser I had bought, which was yummy!  Then I got Noah all undressed and he started on painting his pumpkin!  The next Picasso, I'm telling ya!

See how talented he is?  Candy Corn finger!

Danielle and Chris made Donald Duck and Minnie Mouse pumpkins.  I made Mickey and Minnie.  Which is kinda sad because I made the SAME ones last year!  I made then for Noah since his 1st Birthday party was Mickey theme.  Then I did the same thing this year, and didn't really think about it until it was too late!  Oh well, next year I'll do something better!  We really had a lot of fun tonight though!
Chris and Danielle making their pumpkins!

Our finished products!

While we were still working on our pumpkins, there were of course pumpkin guts.  Which we found out that Noah is NOT a fan of!  But while we were working, Noah was REALLY quiet.  So I started talking to him asking him what he was doing.  I could hear him but I couldn't see him.  Then all of a sudden I seen something move and it was him behind my sister's table!  He's a little stinker!  Then he was stuck and needed help to get out!  He's too cute!

He got a bath after his painting experience since he not only painted his pumpkin, but his arm, hand, belly, leg, booster seat.  You name it, it probably had paint on it!

He loves going to his Aunties house!  This week will be another busy one, Tuesday might go to a parade,  as long as it's not raining we are going to trunk or treat at the Church Wednesday, Thursday is trick or treat.

I'm so happy it's Fall!  I love Fall weather and sometimes wish that it could be this way all year round!

Until next time!
