Trick or Treat / Daycare Party and Parade!

Last night was Trick or Treat for us!  I had spent about 2 weeks making and countless hours thinking, wondering and contemplating ideas to to actually put Noah's costume together!  I must say, that it came together GREAT and was a HIT!  Literally just about every single house we went to last night they said, oh my God that is so cute, that's the best costume all night!  My sister and I were talking about getting into a parade and we should have done it because we probably could have won a prize!  He did awesome!  I couldn't be more happy with how everything turned out!  The front tires fell off, and I'm not sure why, he must have caught one on something and then we didn't notice cause it was all held on with Velcro, so it wouldn't have just fell off.  So it doesn't really matter now, it made it through Trick or Treat and it's awesome!
Here is a picture of the tractor before Trick or Treat night! It is missing the smoke stack cause I didn't know where it was when I put it all together so my sister and Danielle had to handle hooking that up!

This was made with: big paper towel box, 2 big wheels cut from cardboard, 4 smaller, 4 even smaller, orange construction paper for the reflector, green Christmas Eve paint, Yellow Duck Tape from Wal-Mart, Black construction paper for the grill, Velcro to hold the yellow centers to the wheels and the wheels to the tractor, as well as the ribbon straps to the tractor, a paper towel roll for the smoke stack, cotton balls for smoke.  It was easy, cheap and the BEST thing I could have ever made!

Anyway the whole point of this besides the fact that Noah is absolutely in love with Tractors, and loved having one around him, was that Parker was dressing up as a chicken.  So little Farmer and his Chicken!  They were so cute!

He was too excited to stand still, while we waited for Parker he was hitting all the houses close!

Parker got his first Treat!  I'm going to make that pixie stick disappear, Noah is NOT eating that!

These nice folks gave him extra cause he made a production putting it in his bucket! lol

Just got back and already worried about eating peanut butter cups!

Aunt Brina's favorite chicken!
We had fun, next year when Parker is walking and really trick or treating I'm sure we'll be out longer.  But we had fun, even seen Al Ganoza from WHTM Channel 27 news!  We talked to him, Noah thought he had candy, he said on I'm sorry I don't I should have brought some!  You guys have fun!  I don't like him on the news but it was kinda neat to see him in person like that.

Today is Noah's Daycare Halloween Party and Parade, so I have been home making pumpkin cookies, but I don't know if they are really going to be as good as my sisters are so I might just take my pretzels!  I made little treats for his class, so I don't really feel obligated to make more than I signed up for!  I was making mini Carmel apples, well lets just say that did not work as the directions said it would!  So that isn't happening!  I'm going to keep messing with it, cause they are cute and I want to perfect it cause that's just me!  But today the kids might get pumpkin cookies, or they might just get pretzels!

They got mummy juice boxes I made, 3 packs of Halloween fruit snacks, a twix, M&M's, and 2 kit kat bars.  I think that's cute, oh yeah I hooked some spider rings to them too, don't know if they all stayed stuck or not though!
The parade was cute!  The directors dressed up as the marshmallow man and ghost buster guy!  It was cool!  All the kids looked so cute!  There were no more Hulks, there were a lot of Captain America's and Spider-man's!  So good choice buddy!

Miss Ryan made the cutest shirt!
I had fun at the party and parade, as usual the teachers did a good job!  Now tonight we are headed to my sister and Danielle's cause of this lovely hurricane coming, they gotta run up to camp bright and early to shut their camper since they have plans so Noah and I will be watching Parker!

My Amazing Noah

Well I  really don't know where this year is going but it's already the end of October, Christmas is right around the corner, before I know it I'll be sending out invites for Noah's 3rd, yes 3rd Birthday Party already! I cannot even believe it!

He is turning into a little man literally right in front of my eyes! Everyday he says or does something that makes me giggle! I honestly never knew how much joy a child could bring your life until he came into mine, and I'll tell you that I couldn't be happier than God chose me to be this wonderful, smart, handsome little guys Mother! I know his Daddy is having the same joy everyday watching over him, and sees everything he does to, and I know if he were here he'd be in love with this little guy of his!

He says some of the funniest things, and surprisingly at the most appropriate times to!
On the way home from the Barnyard Kingdom Sunday, Aunt Danielle was sitting in the back with him and Parker and was picking on Noah cause he was picking his nose, so Noah cleverly says (while slapping his legs) "Well you guys are just going to have to stop because I do this all the time!" That was the best! We laughed so hard!
He constantly is telling Parker "Don't fry Parker" When he's crying, don't ask why he say fry, cause the boy can say cry, maybe he is saying cry and he's saying it funny so it just sounds like fry I really don't know, but it's cute!
He always wants to hold Parker, then when he's done, he just moves his hands and says "Get him, Get him Mom" So there is no going far away when he's holding him!
He told me a few weeks ago as he was going potty before nap something that I couldn't understand, so I asked him to repeat it, he said and mind you he's sitting on the potty this big potty, feet dangling hitting his knees and saying "Mom it really pisses (but it didn't sound like that!) me off when I have to go to sleep." I said well I'm sorry buddy but you have to take a nap so you have energy to play and aren't crabby! Come on what do you say to that? I told him of course not to say that, and he hasn't said that since, at least not to me but it was hilarious to hear!

He is a big helper, loves to help with everything. He likes to hold the dogs when they are outside on the leash, hang the leashes up, pour water in their water bowl, feed the cat, pick out his own underwear which I specifically had to put in the lowest drawer for that reason! He is a total independent boy, likes to do everything himself, or at least try! He hasn't quite mastered getting undressed yet, although he's getting close! Getting dressed will be another story! He likes to pick out his own clothes though, so most times I will give him a choice between 2 different shirts, and ask if he wants jeans or sweatpants, he'll tell me. It's nice but sometimes a pain, but he's gaining his Independence so I shouldn't complain!

He is finally potty trained! I don't want to jinx it but he's been doing great for a few weeks now with no accidents, and most days not using a pull up and being dry at nap, although he's not dry through the night yet but heck that might take a few years! He's successfully going poop on the potty all the time now, which is great, and telling me when he has to go, even if it's just pee. I love it! Even a few times that I have put a pull up on him for the sake of not having a accident due to long drives, or not having fast access to bathrooms like when we went to Dover or last weekend to the Barnyard Kingdom, he still went potty and stayed dry the WHOLE time! That makes me more proud then ever! I tell him that just because you have a pull up on doesn't mean get lazy and go in your pants it means it's there in case of a emergency! He only gets the pull up when we are going away some place like that now, somewhere he's going to have lots of fun and might wait until the last minute to go potty, better to wear a pull up just in case then have to bring a bunch of extra clothes!  He listens, which is amazing at this age, and I love it! I feel so accomplished! Next thing to tackle.....writing. I already know teaching a child to write is frustrating, so I can't even imagine how this is going to be!
He's counting to 20 now, with a little help, he gets a few mixed up.  In the grocery store this morning a older woman was walking past him counting and said to him "well you sure do count well!, how old are you?" He said "two" she said "Oh my I thought you had to be 3 at least, you count very well for 2!"  He was blushing and it was adorable!

He really amazes me with how smart he is, and some of the things he says.  Now since I have to work later cause it's busy season at work when I get home he greets me with a smile and a big hug I love it!

The Barnyard Kingdom

Today we went to The Barnyard Kingdom in Lancaster!  It was cheap, had a lot to do, plus was definitely enough to wear down my 2 1/2 year old!
We not only got the usual play with hay, but there was a big spider web for kids to climb on, petal tractors/bikes to ride around on, craw through tunnels, do water pump rubber ducky races, pony rides (we didn't get to do them though!), there was even pig races! lol Not only was there all that but they had a corn maze, a hedge maze for little kids, tractor rides for the little kids, then they had big tractor rides to the pumpkin patch so that you could pick your own pumpkin!  We had a awesome time!  We literally were there about all day! Noah and Parker were good sports and both held up great!

He climbed up to check out this "goat truck" cause it looked kinda like Pops!
Waiting for our tractor and buggy to go to the pumpkin patch!

Parker with his Mommies on the way to the Pumpkin patch!

Taking Noah to the pumpkin patch for the first time, we never went to the pumpkin patch before!

He had fun hopping over them! lol

He picked two good ones!

watching the other tractor coming, he's obsessed just a little!
After we got done picking our pumpkins it was time to head out because actually they were going to close soon.  So we fed the sheep and cows close to the car the last of the feed before we left, Noah loved feeding the animals!  I'll put all the pictures of feeding the animals here!

We had a really fun day!  Noah was so exhausted tonight I think he fell asleep in 10 minutes, but I just waited about 20 to come out just in case!

It was a great weekend in general, we about 80% of Noah's Trick or Treat costume ready, so I just have a few more things to do, and it's done!  I know I gotta get crackin' since Trick or Treat is next Thursday!  It's going to be the cutest!  He's going to be a farmer with a tractor!  It's awesome already and it's not even put together yet!  Noah loves it already to!
Tomorrow starts my new shift until the end of the year, 9:30-6, good for the morning, bad for the evening!  So now unless there is OT I won't have to get Noah up early, and Grammy will be bringing him home from daycare since the daycare closes at 6.

Well I hope everyone had a good weekend!
