Purple Card?? Times two??!!

Since I had to work the 18th, Grammy and Poppy took Noah to camp with them! Needless to  say, Mommy had a nice quiet weekend! The only thing that would have made it better would have been if I didn't have to work Saturday!

But I got home Friday and tended to the dogs, then after they settled down I went back and started cleaning my bedroom, then Noah's room. So I got those two rooms finished. My plan was to come home and clean out Noah's clothes, pack away the ones that didn't fit anymore and clean out his toy room. But then I decided that I was just going to do the dishes and catch up the laundry instead. So my Saturday was relaxing, watching Lifetime movies and that's it!

I missed my boy though and was beyond happy to see him on Sunday! He was pretty good,
acted up a little but was good! He had a blast at camp as usual! Got to ride his
4 Wheeler, and I hear he did great!! So that makes me happy! We'll be back at camp again
this weekend, but this time I'll be along!

Yesterday Noah got his very first Purple card at daycare!! How about that, I didn't think that would ever happen, but I patiently waited for the day I walked in to get him and saw a Purple card in his cubby! He claims to be going to get another one today, and sure enough he did!!  What a awesome thing!  So he got a pack of cars at the store!  Yesterday he just got Angry Birds fruties because I had to get home for the nurse to come!
I was super proud of him, I knew he could do it! He was super proud of himself to!  Taking me over to his cubby to show me his purple card!!  love that boy!

Mondays proud Purple card picture!

Tuesdays proud Purple card picture!

Yesterday started my IV Steroid treatments to hopefully make this leg all better! Five days
of his, then follow up with pill form, then done. Hopefully I see some relief by the weekend.
I don't know, they claim it is to work well, especially the IV. I don't know. I feel  like a weirdo with a bandage on my arm, going to work. People keep looking at me like I have a disease, well I do but you know what I mean a contagious one! ha ha Noah sat there and watched the whole time the nurse was doing my IV, then asked her "why did you hurt my Mommy?" The nurse said "I didn't hurt her, did you hear her yell?" Noah's like No I said it didn't hurt buddy it's going to make Mommy feel better! It's like when you help me with my shots at night sometimes, it doesn't hurt just a little pinch! He was over it then!
Such is life, Just proves that MS sucks....if you didn't know now you know! I don't wish it
on anyone! I'm glad this is the first real issue I have actually had, besides my eyesight
and the numbness that comes and goes in my hands which I would take any day over this darn
leg situation! Ask my Mom it looked like I was seriously drunk by the time we were done with
our walks and slowing things down! We walked in Hummelstown one day so after the walk we
could stop at Mecalffe Park for Noah to play since that's his favorite park, and people probably
thought I was drunk, it was kind of embarrassing! But I can't help it! You looking at someone
who has bought a bottle of wine, MONTHS ago, and it's still sitting unopened on the counter!
I'm not a drinker, far from it. So the picture passed around online that says "I'm not drunk
I have MS" I have lived!

Mothers Day 2013

My Mothers Day was great!  As usual, now it was my only 3rd one but each one has been just as great!
Friday Noah and I sent Grammy a Edible Arrangement to daycare!  She was so surprised and happy!  Noah loved all the fruit to, as a matter of fact he polished off at least a quarter of it!

Saturday evening  my sister, Mom and I went and got our Mothers Day pedicures!  Partly because we figured that they would be swamped on Sunday, and the other part because my sister and I just wanted to be with our boys on Mothers Day!  So we got that accomplished Saturday!

they could have told me they were taking a picture! lol

Sunday rolled around, we got up and gave Grammy her cards and gift basket with special mug we made for her.  Then Noah and Grammy gave me my cards and BEAUTIFUL necklace!  it's a mother and child necklace and I LOVE it!  I love my open hearts angel necklace that I got for my first Mothers Day but I just adore this as well!  Grammy made everyone french toast for breakfast, which was yummy!  Then we just hung around, went outside and Noah rode his 4 wheeler a little, and his tractor and we messed around with the ball and on his swing set a while.  Then he came in to take a little nap before Aunt Chrissy and Parker came and we went out for late lunch.

love it!

I also made 2 more mugs for my sister and Danielle for their first Mothers Day!  I don't have a picture of those, but they are the same, the saying a wrote is a little different.  My sister cried when she opened hers!  Her and Aunt Danielle got a basket too with trail mixes and coffee.

By the time Noah got up, his Auntie and Parker were already here, Noah actually woke up by falling out of bed!  We heard a big thud....and then here he came walking out the hall!  He was ok, and after he had a minute to wake up and get himself together we headed to lunch.  We went to Ruby Tuesday for lunch.  I wanted to go there for the salad bar, but I guess they were so busy that it really wasn't as nice as usual!  But it was still good!  We had some good food, good conversation, as usual when the food came Noah had to go potty.  So I took him and then it was all down hill from there!  He was messing around the rest of the time, didn't eat much despite saying how hungry he was and how he's a big boy and eats a lot of food now.  Well He really barely ate anything, and then begged for Grammy's soda so she let him have the last little bit and then....after everyone told him be careful, don't drop it.....what does he do??  Drop it, and it shattered on the floor.  Thankfully we were sitting on the side by the bar, and weren't by anyone so nobody got hurt!  From then, he wouldn't stay in his seat, so I ended up giving my sister and Mom my wallet and said you guys do what you have to do I'm taking him to the car.  So Noah and I went to the car, sat there until everyone was done doing what they needed to do, while Noah and I had a talk, a emotional one.  It upsets me that he has been having a hard time listening lately, I assume it's mostly the age and that he's a boy.  BUT something has got to give, cause it's getting crazy!  I have had to take him out of the Dollar Tree cause he wouldn't stop bugging for a car, and Giant for the same reason.  So that's the newest thing, remove him from the situation, and HOPEFULLY it will start helping!  After we left there we went to Ritas, Mom and Chris got custard cones, Noah got a blue misto, but me....I got a Starburst Strawberry Gelati!  Yep it was dreamy! lol I LOVE strawberry Starbursts, I swear they made that ice for me! ha ha  Then we headed to Sunset park to the playground.  Parker was sleeping so Grammy stayed in the car with him while Aunt Chrissy, Noah and I went and played!

At school, they have card colors for the day.  Like Purple is excellent, which Noah will probably never see, Green is good, Yellow so so, Orange is like in my words rip my hair out.  I don't know what else they have, those are the only colors Noah ever got, well now when he gets Orange, he isn't allowed to watch TV, Movies on his DVD player, or play on his tablet.  If he gets Yellow he's not allowed to watch TV, Movies on his DVD player but he can play on his tablet.  He also can't ride his 4 wheeler if he has a Orange or Yellow card,  consequences....hopefully they work!!

He's been doing great though, I have been trying to work with him with writing, and that isn't exactly going over so great!  At school he'll trace letters pretty well, but I'm trying to get him to actually write them out.  I know it's SO frustrating!  He is doing so good with everything else, although sometimes when he doesn't "want" to do it, he'll mess up his counting or colors whatever.  He's a smart cookie, sometimes too smart for his own good!

I had a great day, little emotional but all around great!  My little man can be a pickle, don't let him or me fool you!  But honestly, as hard as it may be some days, and as much as I just want bed time to come at like 1 in the afternoon on some weekends, I would not trade him for the world!  I love him with all my heart, he is my reason for living, my reason for fighting the best fight I can with this MS.  I honestly just some days don't think I can do it, but I know I have to.  When I look at that handsome little man, I know I have to do everything I possibly can for him, and for my health.  I know his Daddy is so proud of him and is smiling over him all day everyday!
