Lake Tobias, First Peanut Butter Cup, First Dentist appointment and a weekend with no Noah....

So last weekend I took Noah to Lake Tobias! My sister and Danielle (his 2 favorite Aunties) came along to! We had a fun time! I was never there before myself! We took the Safari tour on the bus, which I guess I was naive because I thought you would see like everything on that tour. Like Lions and Tigers. But you didn't! But we did get to feed Buffalo out of our hands, and something else, not exactly sure what it was! We got to see some baby animals as well which was just awesome! Then we went to the little petting zoo, and hand fed some of the goats. They had a fun time trying to eat the strings of my pants and Noah's outfit to lol. We also see the reptile "show" which really was just information but still interesting! Noah got to see Alligators which he really seems to be into right now, I think because his Poppy watches Swamp People with him! He also got to pet a baby Alligator to!
Noah waiting on the Bus to get the tour started!!
He was amazed by these!
The Donkey/Zebra. Our tour guide said "It's been said, Once you go Donkey you never go back!" OK......lol
Spike one of the Alligators!

Noah had his very first taste of Peanut Butter this month! It was in a reeses! He loved it!!

Noah also had his very first Dentist appointment this month as well! It's been a busy August for him! He had a absolutely wonderful checkup! His teeth look beautiful! The dentist was impressed that I brought him in for a check up and he wasn't having issues! He actually said that I wouldn't believe the amount of parents he has to tell their child has 5 or 6 cavities at Noah's age. I was shocked! Sometimes it isn't easy, but I have been brushing his teeth forever! Even brushed his gums sometimes before he had any teeth! I want him to have nice teeth and no problems! So I had to get it started early!
Playing in the waiting room before his appointment!

Waiting for the Dr, we were in the "Dora and Diego" room!

He thought he was hot stuff sitting on this chair!

The dentist checking his teeth out! What a great job Noah did! I got compliments as did Noah! I'm so glad that everything went well with that! He doesn't have to go back until next year!!

This month was a super busy month for Noah! Besides all the fun stuff we did, the 1 year anniversary of his Daddy's death was August 12th. It was a sad day for me, because I thought about him a lot that day. But I know that he made 2 wonderful kids before he left this earth. I think that was God's plan for him. RIP Jeff and keep watching over Noah.

So this weekend, August 20th. My sister and Danielle took Noah up to camp for the weekend. Which leaves Mommy home alone with no noise, no nothing! Although I did get a lot of cleaning done! I got his room and my room cleaned. My bathroom and the common areas of the house done. Laundry tomorrow. I went and got my hair cut today, and the nurse came to show me how to use my medicine. I don't think I posted anything, because this blog is about my son. But I was diagnosed with MS the end of July. It all started right after I had Noah with symptoms. But now finally I got my diagnosis and medicine, and started the medicine today hopefully all my symptoms go away! So that's that. I got some pictures of Noah from his Aunties today....guess I'll share them.
Well...It wouldn't be a weekend at camp without him hurting himself. Literally just got his pic. Poor baby :(

Eating his breakfast with his Auntie's! I can't wait until tomorrow when he's home!
I miss you and Love you so much little man!!

Dear Noah.

Hi Noah, it's Mommy :)

Gosh, you're so big and handsome and are learning how to do so many things all by yourself. Grammy Poppy and I are so proud of you and the little boy you are becoming. I'm sure your Daddy is really proud of you to while he's looking down on you from Heaven. But there are a few things that I wish you'd pay a bit more attention to when we try to help.

1) We know how much you love climbing and how much fun it is to be up high. It's not ok to stand on the back of the sofa, or even on the dining room chairs. It's dangerous. Like really dangerous. You could fall and get really hurt. Not a little fall, a big fall. See how high you are? That's how far you'd fall and though the rug is soft, it's still hard underneath. So please, for your Mommy's sanity, no more back of chair/couch or arm of chair/dining room chair climbing ok?

2) You know that Mama loves to snuggle with you all the time. I can't get enough kisses, giggles, cuddles and snuggles with my boy. It's some of my favorite moments each day and I treasure those times. Please let's not include 2:30 a.m. as a part of our cuddle routine anymore ok? You have been doing really good with sleeping all night most nights, but lets keep that regular! Mama really needs to sleep. Stay in your room ok sport?

3) Please stop reaching up on the table or counters and pulling stuff down.  I try to keep anything that can hurt you or you shouldn't have back so you can't reach it, so does Grammy and Poppy.  But sometimes we forget.  We mostly forget how big you are now and that you can reach all the things that you never could before!  We love you and don't want anymore accidents like Friday!  I'm glad your ok, but you about gave us all a heart attack!  Keep your hands on YOUR toys! Ok?  do you think that's doable?

Thanks sweetie. I'm sure that there are more things that I'll think of to tell you, but this is a good start.
I know your only 17 months old, but Mommy will have a full head of grey hair by the time your 2 if you keep this up!  I just don't want to see you hurt.  I know your all boy but really, sometimes it would probably be helpful to be scared of things! lol I love you sweetheart. You are my little monkey boy.

Love,Mama

first ER visit

So last night, 8-5-11 Noah had his first and hopefully last ER visit. He reached up on the counter and pulled the coffee pot handle which was hot and just brewed, which dumped on his head. I was standing right there because I was filling up his cup and it all just happened so fast. Thank the good Lord he was wearing his t-shirt still. I was going to dress him in a tank top, I'm glad I didn't. And thank God that Bass Pro Shops make thick shirts, cause that's where his shirt came from he was wearing. We took him in the bathroom right away and my Dad took him in a cool shower while I called his Dr's office. Of course they were closed, so I talked to a nurse. She said to take him to the ER. We took him and they actually got us in right away, I guess they told them we were coming so they expected us. We were only there for about a hour. I was really shocked. By the time we were on our way in there he was calm, and since he was just traumatised we gave him a bottle. He thankfully since we got his shirt off right away and got him in the cool water only has like 3 or 4 spots on his head, his ear was red most of the night but that went away now. He slept all night, and is acting normal so far today. I guess it's not affecting him that much. I am soooooooooo glad that nothing more happened, and that he put his head down, because if that hot coffee burnt his precious face or eyes or something I don't know what I'd do. But the only orders we left with were neosporin and pain reliever, nothing major. I am so glad about that! He definitely had his guardian angels watching over him yesterday! Thank you Noah's Daddy and my Grandparents, I know it was you guys!

Poor little man
Looking at a book with Grammy, she was worried about him to!
Noah and his Poppy, who came in to the hospital because he was so worried!

I'm so glad that everything is ok, I was hoping to not have to have any emergency room visits until he's at least 10 but I guess that's not going to happen! He's definitely all boy! I'm really glad I have a wonderful supportive family also, because without my Mom and Dad who knows what would have happened. I kinda got in panic mode for a minute but my parents sort of took over so I could see what we should do from the Dr. I was so scared and when your scared and nervous you don't ever think right! I'm so glad that's over and that everything is ok though!
