Walk MS 2012

Today was the 2012 MS walk.  What a day to have this event!  I was so hoping and praying for a change in the weather forecast for today but that didn't happen!  All I gotta say is it could have been worse!

Noah and I got all ready this morning and were all layered up and ready to go, stopped for a picture before we left!
It was raining, of course already before we even left.  But the weather man said the heavy rain wouldn't come until the evening.  I said that I was just going to go register, hand in my donations which I had a total of $230.00 of and go home if it was raining.  THEN, I got my email on Friday with little reminders about the walk site which was on all school grounds at Milton Hershey and Hershey Schools, and at the end it said that MS doesn't take a day off because of the weather.  That made me think....well either should I.  So that made me decide that I was going to walk rain or shine.  Now pouring down rain, or thunderstorms are a totally different story and I wouldn't have went!  I'm glad I did!  Despite the rain, and kinda coldness, it was fun!  Noah's friend from daycare Emerson and his Mommy Stacy joined us for the walk which was awesome!  My Mom also came along and braved the elements!  It was awesome to see all the support out there!  I'm sure that if the weather were nicer that there would have been a lot more people out walking but it was a pretty good turn out considering!

Raffle tickets you could purchase for a chance to win one of these, I won the Avon one!

Electric Slide anyone?!

Noah's watching the girls do the electric slide!

The Wall Of Hope.

Walking to the car, Noah FINALLY got to splash in puddles!

Note the smile on his face!
I have met a few great people with this monster of a disease, and they are all very positive inspiring people.  I'm so happy to have met them all.  This walk I did today was not only for myself but for everyone everywhere that suffers with MS.  Every little bit helps, so even though I didn't meet my goal of $500 what I did raise is going to help with the research.  Maybe just maybe with the money someone else raised that is what's going to do the trick to be able to find that cure.  You never know.  I will never know.  I can only hope and pray.

I made Noah a T-shirt to do this walk today.  I love it.  He wears everything that's homemade so proudly as if he knows what it's all about!

Anyway even though it was a awful weather day, I had a great day!  I had fun with my Mom, Stacy, Noah, and Emerson at the walk and I hope they did to!

Lets hope for nice and sunny weather next year!
