Easter 2013

We had a fabulous Easter! We went to Church Saturday evening at 6pm just out of pure selfish reasons to not have to rush all around Sunday! At LCBC you need tickets to get into the holiday services so I just got the tickets for Saturday evening! It worked out well, and everything turned out great! Noah is having issues with his new class at Church Treasure Cove being too loud, so I brought him ear plugs so that hopefully he was ok. Of course he was, but I don't know why his ears are suddenly so sensitive because they never were before, now he'll even cover his ears when cars drive by when we are outside! It's strange, but his Doctor said to get him ear plugs to wear in loud situations like Birthday parties or Monkey Joes whatever, LCBC is a church that well, you would need ear plugs if you had sensitive ears! I love it there though, and Noah loves his time there to it's just he has to get used to the fact that it's ok with his ear plugs!

He woke up around 7-730, came out and seen his full to the brim basket! He came out and immediately seen the cars in it! So the Bunny could have just filled the dang basket with cars and he'd be good! But he eventually noticed his flip flops, Wreck it Ralph movie, Madagascar 3 movie, T shirt, Paddle ball, Flash light that makes shapes, Copter launcher, book and some candy to! His basket was TOO full but worth it!!

Noah was ANGRY about this! lol

Jesus loves all the children book, he LOVES it!

stinker hit his eye with the paddle ball!

Easter gift from Aunt Sue and Uncle Frank

His Aunties and Parker came over for dinner, Parker had his first "real" meal!  His Mama grinded up ham, sweet potatoes, green beans and mashed potatoes!  He LOVED it!!

He's getting so big so fast!  Him and Noah looked like the most handsome young men on Easter, I loved it!

We had a egg hunt of course!  Parker had his and Noah had his!

We had a great day, and were so blessed to be able to spend it with our family.

Noah's 3 year Well Child Check!

Yesterday Noah had his well child check yesterday, and as always he had a perfect report!  It was a very L O N G appointment, 2 hours!  Yes, that is the only down fall with going to Hershey and having Med Students!  They come in alone and do their exam, then report to the Dr and then she comes in and does a exam and basically does the same thing all over again!  I really REALLY like his Dr though, so I don't mind!  She is so nice, and she's kinda old school yet in reality as well so it's nice.
  • Noah weighed in at a whooping 42.8 pounds

  • Measured in at 39.8 inches tall, which I think may have been off cause this boy is TALL!

The only concerns I had this round was his behavior lately, I swear 3's are WAY worse than 2's were!  Yes, already!  So I got a few tips on how to handle him, and hopefully that works!  Also he used to sit at the dinner table and eat his dinner, now he'll take a few bites then get up and once dinner is over say "I'm hungry" well the Dr told me that when he does that, to not give him ANYTHING at all the rest of the night, not even healthy snacks!  If he decides he wants to sit and eat his dinner, than he can but otherwise too bad!  Seems kind of harsh to me, but I guess it will work!  So I will be trying it!

Funny and convenient that I got a flyer for this Raising a Thinking Child class when Noah's birthday book came from Lower Dauphin communities that care.  Well reading the flyer it was ALL Noah, so I called and signed myself up.  Funny is it that yesterday evening was the first class and ALL of the people taking the class have boys in the target age group of the class!  I think 2 have girls that are around the same age to, but I find that hilarious!  I guess boys are different!

Playing with the wheel maze thing!  Feeling a breeze Noah?!

Playing his Jake game while we waited in between Dr's!  He was being such a good boy!
I was so proud of Noah, the med student asked him to draw a circle, which he did twice!  Funny cause at home when I try to get him to do that stuff he won't seem to do it!  Then he had a eye exam with shapes and did great with both eyes!  Then his Dr had him dress himself, which I knew he could do but he did such a good job for her!  Over all he had a great appt and doesn't have to return until next year, or of course if he gets sick!

Next Tuesday he goes to the Cardiologist for his one year follow up.  They sent him there last year because his cholesterol was high, and with the family history on my side and his Dad she wanted him seen there.  It was a great appt with no issues at all!  Then they called and said it was time for his follow up, and I was like well that isn't really needed....but I thought more about it and was like see this is what I dislike about being a Mom, if I wouldn't take him and something would be wrong that could have been caught I'd beat myself up!   So needless to say, he's going next Tuesday morning for that follow up!  Probably will be a waste of a $50 copay but for my peace of mind, and my boys health it will be worth it!!

No matter how frustrating he can be, there is always more than one moment a day that he melts my heart!  I cannot imagine my like without him, honestly I know every Mother says that but I seriously don't know what I'd do without him!  Could it be because we spend every day together?  Sure, but you know what, I wouldn't have it any other way honestly!  I enjoy it, I enjoy my alone time but hey when it doesn't happen often you appreciate it more!

Until next time!

Noah's 3rd Birthday!

Well today is the day, the day my baby turns 3!  I cannot believe it, sometimes it seems like only yesterday he came home from the hospital!  He is a real blessing, I couldn't ask for anything better than to have  fhad the chance to be his Mother!
He is one strong willed little boy!  He loves cars, jeeps, trucks, tractors well anything that has wheels!  He is ALL boy! He's fully potty trained, so smart...too smart for his own good! He's sensitive, yet a rough neck!  He no longer is into watching Sprout, I guess he "out grew" that, he loves Nick Jr and Disney! His favorite shows are: Umizoomi, Mike the Knight, Dino Dan, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Doc McStuffins (that's his sensitive side coming out!), The Fresh Beat Band, Max and Ruby (which I dislike!), Bubble Guppies, and believe it or not.....Sofia the first!  My boy is a sensitive yet rough neck kinda guy!  He has this HUGE shoe fetish, EVERYWHERE we go he wants a pair of shoes, as a matter of fact we were shopping today and what did he CRY through Osh Kosh for?  Shoes!  For now I'm good, I can get away with Kmart Wal Mart or Target sneakers....when he's a teenager if this fetish continues I'll be saving money....LOTS of money so he can get sneakers!

I had done the same thing as last year by adding steamers and balloons to his doorway, but I added a bunch of balloons in the hallway, and then 3 other Happy Birthday balloons with quarters, 75 cents to be exact each as weights!  I put his Spider man blanket and little man in the hall and his gifts and card at the end of the hall!  It makes him so happy he loves it!  It's special day for my special little man, I want to keep birthdays special days for him, cause really they are!

He got his LeapPad2, accessories set, and Peter Pan movie!  He loved it!  Actually first he said to me "a tablet, I didn't want a tablet!"  He has messed around with it a little and I think once he gets the hang of stuff he will really like it!  I was going to get him the Nabi tablet, and a part of me feels like I should have.....This is good for him now, once he's a bit older maybe he will get the Nabi, and he can hand down the LeapPad to Parker if he doesn't have one already!
We went to Bob Evans for our normal Noah's Birthday morning breakfast!  Grammy came, Aunt Chrissy, Aunt Danielle, Parker, Madison, and Kailyn all were there!

my handsome Nephew Parker!
Then we went to the Outlets shopping, just what a boy wants to do right?  Well Noah doesn't mind!  He ended up with new sneakers, a new Cars jacket, Maters, plus a Starbucks kids hot chocolate!
Oh yeah and a ride on the Bob the Builder ride, and the Disney store gave him a crown!

After a few hours of shopping, and walking the whole outlet mall, we went home.  We had a even bigger surprise for Noah at home!!

Best Birthday present ever for a boy who loves this stuff!

He's so happy!
Friday at work my Dad text me and said hey I found a good 4wheeler for $800, do you wanna pay half?  Sure, cause it's something I knew he would LOVE!  I wasn't really thinking at the time that it was going to be the real start to mini heart attacks while he's riding it!  He does good steering and stuff, just sometimes he goes to fast, and doesn't pay attention to where he's going!  Thankfully there is a pull string if he gets too fast you pull it and it shuts it off.  That however is short so he attached the retractable dog leash to it after the first round of being out riding!  He definitely is a little man, and the scary thing is that he has NO fear!  But I think he will be alright, we are getting him a helmet, for anyone reading this thinking WTF!  He just didn't have one for right away.  My Dad found this Friday, Saturday morning he got up and left early to go pick it up and got back just in time for Noah's party!  Noah didn't know about it, he was surprised and when we pulled in the driveway he said "My 4 iller, my 4 iller!"  I guess he knew it had to be for him cause it was so small!

Noah had a great Birthday, and I had a great day spending it with him and my family!  I love my boy more than words could ever express!  He brings me so much joy, a lot of frustration lately....but more joy and laughs than not!  I wouldn't trade him for the world, and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't thank God for choosing me to be his Mother!  It all wouldn't have been possible without Noah's Daddy either, I thank him to!  I wish he were here to see what a big boy our son has become, he's so smart!  I know he's watching over him all day everyday, but if he were here he could get to experience the joys we all do from him!

It was a long day, but as I said a great one!  I even got to make mini cupcakes for daycare tomorrow!  Yay!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NOAH EDWARD!  I LOVE YOU!

Noah's 3rd Birthday Party

Saturday the 23rd was Noah's 3rd Birthday Party!  It was a Cars theme party, yes he has changed his mind on what kind of party he wanted to have a million times!  I guess my Mom was right in that I should have just chose it to begin with!  It was no big deal really, just sent out Spider-man invites, that was the only difference! ha ha!

We just invited the usual guests, his God Parents Matt and Amanda and their two beautiful children, my sister and Danielle and Parker, Cousin Antonio and the rest of the family with him, Kailyn, and Madison.  We started the party having some lunch, the menu consisted of croissant weenies, my Greek pasta feta salad I make, Ho-Bo beans,  chips and pretzels.  After some eats, we played "Pin the 95 on McQueen!"  Woo Hoo that's some fun stuff!  Then Noah was so impatient about opening gifts, he opened them before cake!  While we were eating, Noah was already done and we found him under his little table which was holding the presents, opening a gift! lol He's too funny!  Thankfully it was just the very beginning so it was only me. my parents and sister and her little family here!

everyone gets a "medal" because everyone did great!

After thinking of the expensive cake prices, and thinking how much better cupcakes would be, realizing the crazy cost, my Mom and I decided we could tackle it on our own!  Thanks to Wal-Mart who had the Cars theme jimmies, and cupcake papers in stock, we tackled it quite well!  They tasted great and looked great as well!  We made Noah a little cake out of the left over batter, and then since we weren't sure on which flavor he'd prefer, we cut both the yellow and chocolate in half and glued them together and decorated it!  To my disbelief, he didn't want it he wanted a cupcake instead!!

It was really kinda fun making all the cupcakes, just makes it a little more special I think!  We got lots of compliments on them so that's good!

Noah's birthday party was a huge success!  I am always nervous before hand but I don't know why because everything always comes together nicely!

3rd Birthday Pics/Chilly trip to the playground!

Today Noah went for his 3rd Birthday photo shoot!  He did great, probably could have used a haircut prior, however they are still adorable!! It still amazes me how much he changes in one year, I had his 1st, 2nd, and 3rd birthday pics like the one above together and it's crazy!  Especially since last year, there is a huge difference!  I love my little man, I cannot believe in exactly one week he'll be 3!  I don't know where the time has gone!

he wanted to be a fire fighter so what the heck!
He had a first appointment of the day there, which just so happened to be what time Church starts also.  We could have gone to the 11 or 1 service but that didn't work out for us today.  So we missed this week.  We came home had some lunch then Noah went down for a nap, and I told him that I would take him to the playground after he got up for a few minutes.  Well I regretted that choice when 5 minutes after being there my hands stung from being so cold!  Noah was not cold, and was having so much fun!  I guess we were making memories, so there is nothing better than that!

before nap, when we were all still VERY nice and WARM!
FREEZING!

It was perfect though, and he had a blast!  Last weekend of being 2, go out with a bang!

I have been trying to work on writing with him at night, that is a task!  I forgot how frustrating that was!  I remember helping Kailyn learn to write, and it all kinda came back to me the first day attempting it with him!  Attempting writing and coloring inside the lines!  His problem is that he wants to do what he wants to do, so if he's not "into" it then it's tough!  I don't know if that's a boy thing or a 2 going on 3 year old thing!  He's smart, so that's not the problem I know he could do it if he tried, the problem is getting him to try!  Sooner or later he'll get it!

This week we will continue working on that, Tuesday he has his 6 month dental check up started that at 18 months and in August when he went they said he'll start going every 6 months now, so that's good I guess!  Never had any issues, he does good brushing his teeth, I want it to stay that way! Saturday he's going to skip gymnastics cause that's his Party!  Sunday, is the real day my baby will be 3, Church, family breakfast then who knows something special!
