Christmas 2013

Well I really can't believe that Christmas is over already! It seems like last week was only Thanksgiving, then sudden rush to make sure you had all the gifts you needed to buy, and all the stress, and hustle and bustle....and in a short few 24 hours it was over! But you know what? I wouldn't trade that for the world! And don't forget the true reason and meaning for Christmas is for the birth of Jesus Christ our savior. This is actually the first year in I don't know how long we didn't have a birthday cake for Jesus! But we did sing to him! As Pastor Don said today sometimes we get blinded by all the glitter and Santa and such this time of year. Which is true, and it's really hard not to when there are children involved, but I guess it is equally important to let them in on what the true meaning really is, and that it isn't really about how many presents will be under the tree for you! I am hoping next year Santa takes the hint of the 4 gift rule, 1. something he wants to give 2. something to read 3. something to wear 4. something they need. Because I know Mommy will be following that rule for her little, OK not so little guy next year, as well as other kids! I must say that this year was the best so far, I know that he hasn't had that many so far only being born in 2010 but this year he was really into opening gifts and had the best reactions to EVERYTHING! His 3 favorite gifts are his Crane, his Superheros, and the Rescue Bots Transformers he got! Those were the best reactions! He also got a REAL remote control car, like from the hobby shop, for a grown man! He watched r/c truck videos on YouTube and it's like the same exact one, that he said he wanted! He opened all his presents and then Pop and Grammy opened theirs then that truck just popped up! so it was a surprise! He was excited! My sister and Danielle had also gotten him a r/c truck and gave it to him on Christmas Eve, so when Pop took him out to drive the truck he was going to drive the one he got from my sister and told my Dad he could have that new one, then Pop tried it out, Noah seen it went faster and turned fast and stuff then he changed his story! He had a lot of fun!

there it is!
We were invited to my Uncle Joe's house on Saturday for lunch and a Christmas Party and $10 gift exchange! It was fun! We went took my Aunt Joann with us, and both boys Parker and Noah! Parker was never at Uncle Joe's house before but Noah was a few different times! We had a great dinner with a mix of Filipino, American and Portuguese food, it was yummy as usual! Then we played a couple games which was fun, look in the box then try to remember what was in it, then this game you worked with a partner and tried to use words to get them to say whatever was on your paper without saying what was on your paper...if that makes sense...it was fun! Then Sandy wanted to do Karaoke, so they did that for a little the games were after we ate. Then the gift exchange! We all drew a number, and chose a gift in that order, then you could steal or choose a new gift. I ended up with a Chillow, a pillow that says cold or cool! Turns out I literally just bought one at Target right before! So my cousin Wil wanted it, so I left him have it! Then he gave us some snowman salt and pepper shakers and candles, my Mom loves snowmen so that worked out she can have it! We had a lot of fun! Noah even got some gifts there! Wil and Sandy gave him a blow up Shrek chair, Maricar and Derek Paint and Race car set, and Aunt Maria and Uncle Joe and Thunder Tumbler truck thing that is R/C and flips and stuff! BIG thanks to everyone for EVERYTHING, including the laughs, and the love we shared!
